Welcome to the Golden Gate Society for Coatings Technology!
The Golden Gate Society for Coatings Technology (GGSCT) is a voluntary, nonprofit trade association. We represent paint and coatings manufacturers, raw materials suppliers, distributors, educators, and students.
An important GGSCT objective is to provide technical education and professional development to its members and to the Northern California coatings industry through its monthly technical
presentations, technical documents, job assistance and scholarships.

Title: FEVE Fluoropolymer Coatings: Corrosion Resistance Using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS)
Abstract: FEVE coatings have long been recognized for their weatherability and durability. For coatings used in industrial maintenance applications like bridges or water tanks, resistance to corrosion is the primary reason for using protective coatings. This presentation will give a brief overview of FEVE coating technology, then discuss the basics of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Results from conventional corrosion tests and from EIS tests on FEVE coatings will be presented, including comparisons with different topcoat technologies.
