Wednesday, April 24, 2024 - GGSCT Northern Nevada Dinner Meeting and Technical Talk
We are excited to announce that we will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. at El Charro restaurant to learn about decorative metal pigments and anti-corrosive zinc pigments.
The GGSCT will pick up the tab for dinners and soft drinks and we will be ordering off the menu. Drinks from the bar will be no-host.
All members of the GGSCT and all industry people interested in the GGSCT are welcome along with spouses and family members.

Title: Exploring Metallic Effect Pigments and Functional Powders: Innovations and Applications
Abstract: This technical presentation delves into the world of metallic effect pigments and functional powders, unveiling their diverse applications and innovative advancements. From automotive finishes to decorative paints and beyond, metallic effect pigments offer a spectrum of visual effects, while functional powders cater to a range of industrial needs. Through a comprehensive exploration of synthesis methods, properties, and real-world applications, this presentation aims to provide insights into the cutting-edge technologies driving the evolution of metallic effect pigments and functional powders.
Bio: Mr. Van Lerberghe Maxime, the presenter, is a seasoned materials scientist with expertise in surface engineering. He has a 7 years (bachelor, master and master after master) degree in Sales & Marketing concepts of this world. With a background in both academia and industry, Maxime has conducted extensive research on metallic effect pigments and functional powders, contributing to the development of novel materials and applications. Through collaborations with leading companies and research institutions, Maxime has remained at the forefront of innovation in the field, striving to bridge the gap between fundamental research and practical implementations.
